For Hunter's birthday gift his grandparents got us all tickets to go see Walking with Dinosaurs! It was an amazing show and Hunter loved it!

At first we weren't sure if we would still have Hunter's party after everything we were going through this summer, but the closer the day got we realized how much a light-hearted day was needed by all. It was so refreshing to have everyone together laughing and having fun! I think the day was much needed for healing. The kids battled and did an obstacle course. We even had kids and adults playing sensei says and had a great time!

Hunter's 8th Birthday!

For Hunter's birthday he wanted to go ice skating and have IHOP for lunch. Then he wanted Home Town Buffet for dinner! I think he had a great day!

Our 10 Year Anniversary to Playa del Carmen

For our 10 year wedding anniversary, Michael and I went to Playa del Carmen. It was a very bittersweet trip being in such paradise but dealing with heavy tragedy. We did our best to enjoy our time there, but we both had moments where would just break down. Other vacationers probably thought we were crazy, but we didn't care. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do.

The resort was all-inclusive so we could have whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted it. We mainly stayed at the resort and read by the pool or beach. We ate often and ordered chips and guacamole daily! One day we went shopping in town and I got to hold a monkey!

Goodbye Sweet One

Jack, I miss you so much. Sometimes, I feel like you are

still around and it makes those days more difficult.

Something will brush my leg and I will automatically think it is you getting

close enough for me to pick you up. My mind reminds me of the truth,

but my heart doesn't want to believe it.

Thank you for always making me laugh and wanting to cuddle with me;

I now have those memories to treasure always.

You are forever in my heart.
